I loved that post too. My only criticism is that sometimes I think we can use it to do things that aren't chosen with reason. For example, I could say that I should adopt that adorable set of three kids in foster care who have pricked my heart because, well, it's hard and God calls us to hard. While I think God didn't call us to easy, I do think He calls us to use all parts of our beautifully created being to make wise decisions. I CAN'T have three more kids. Know what I mean? :)
So true! That's why we must be people that are in the WORD every day... and in prayer. He will lead us! I have found that in one specific situation I am in, most of my struggle is because I want easy. It challenges me moment by moment. But, this is where I need to be. :) I think this post ministered to me b/c adoption is on the rise in our community, which is awesome. But, we have to be prepared, rooted in HIM, to be able to do this or anything really. Miss you to Deb... let's get together! :)
