During this process we have had a deep sense of being carried by the Lord. He has provided the manna we have needed each step of the way. He has been God with us. There has not been any fear, just peace. We are so thankful for his provision for us in this adoption.

" and the Lord will guide you continually" Isaiah 58:11

" Carry them in your bosom, as nurse carries a nursing child" Numbers 11:12

" He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom and gently lead those that are with young." Isaiah 49:40

" Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations and raise my signal to the peoples; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders." Isaiah 49:22

These verses have brought much comfort and conformation of the reason for our peace. We have a God who goes before us and carries us as a Father carries a son. ( Deut.1:29-33)

We are so grateful that because of Jesus' gift of coming to earth and being God with us, it has made the wait to get Ela a little easier. Not only is he with us but also with her.

" for he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways " Psalm 91:11

" Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. " Jer.1:5

" For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mothers womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works, my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in the secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; In your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me. " taken from Psalm 139

We leave one week from tomorrow to pick up our six year old daughter in Ethiopia! We knew the moment we saw her she was ours.
It is amazing to think Ela Faith was hand picked for our family by our Father in Heaven since the beginning of time. God perfectly formed her little club foot. That is what drew us to her. Mikes dad, who is with the Lord, was born with 2 club feet. Her club foot was very significant to us.

Our prayer for Ela is that she will trust in the Lords light and truth. That she will know her creator loves her and has a special plan for her life.

We are so thankful for the many friends and family who have supported us on this journey.
I am so excited for all the families who are in the process of adopting! We are blessed to have a family that lives on the same street adopting from the same agency, our kids might know each other!

We will post pictures and videos of your trip.
